मुत्तुस्वामी दीक्षितर् (1775-1835) दक्षिण भारत के महान् कवि व
रचनाकार थे।
वे कर्नाटक संगीत के तीन प्रमुख व लोकप्रिय हस्तियों में से एक हैं।
उन्होने 500 से अधिक संगीत रचनाएँ की।
कर्नाटक संगीत की गोष्ठियों में उनकी रचनाऐं बहुतायत में गायी व
बजायी जातीं हैं।
आनन्द नटन प्रकाशम्, श्री मुथुस्वामी दीक्षितार विरचित पञ्चभूत कृतियों
(पञ्चतत्वों के गीत) की एक कृति है।
राग केदारम् में निबद्ध यह रचना, आकाश तत्त्व के रूप में पूजित,
भगवान चिदम्बरम् को समर्पित है।

आनन्द नटन प्रकाशं चित्सभेशं आश्रयामि शिव काम वल्लीशम्
I seek refuge in the one radiantly manifest with the dance of joy,
the lord of the hall of consciousness and the lord of Goddess Shivakamavalli,

भानु कोटि कोटि संकाशं भुक्ति मुक्ति प्रद दहराकाशम् दीन जन संरक्षण चणं

दिव्य पतञ्जलि व्याघ्र पाद- दर्शित कुञ्चिताब्ज चरणम्
The one brilliant as countless suns, the giver of enjoyment and liberation,
the embodiment of the inner space (in the heart), the one renowned for
protection of poor and destitute people, the one with a bent (lifted) lotus-like
foot, (that was) displayed (during the dance) to the Devas, Patanjali and
Vyaghrapada. चरणम् :
शीतांशु गङ्गा धरं नील कन्धरं श्री केदारादि क्षेत्राधारम् भूतेशं शार्दूल चर्माम्बरं चिदम्बरं
The one bearing the moon (who has cool rays) and the Ganga,
the blue-throated one, one who is the foundation of (the sanctity)
of sacred places such as Kedara, the lord of the (five) elements,
the one wearing a tiger-skin as garment, the lord of Chidambaram
(the firmament of consciousness).
भू-सुर त्रि-सहस्र मुनीश्वरं विश्वेश्वरम् नवनीत हृदयं सदय गुरु गुह तातं आद्यं वेद वेद्यं वीत रागिणं अप्रमेयाद्वैत प्रतिपाद्यं सङ्गीत वाद्य विनोद ताण्डव - जात बहु-तर भेद चोद्यम्
The lord of the three thousand Brahmin sages, the ruler of the universe,
the one whose heart is (soft, easily melted) like butter, the father of the
merciful Guruguha, the primordial one, the one understood through the
Vedas, the one devoid of desire or attachment, the immeasurable one,
the one expounded by Advaita. He performs various forms of dances to
the accompaniment of music and musical instruments. He imparts
knowledge to His devotees and becomes the answer to the questions
of his devotees.
