माड़े बाँकु देया चाचुआ....

डोगरी लोकगीत

स्वर :डॉ. राधिका चोपड़ा

Famous dogri song, baanku deyaa chachua
talks about a wife’s woes when his husband
has to leave his house and perform his duties
for the nation. She asks him to take her along,
and talks about how this alienation due to his
absence keeps her sad and withdrawn.

LYRICS :

Aau ta galaniyaa sach bo,
made baanku deya chachua
Meki bhi layi chal kach bo,
made baanku deya chachua

Sass Nanand meki jinaan ni dendiyaan,
Thande paani da ghut.. meki peena ni dendiyan
Ankhi diyaan charkha kat bo,
hai made banku deya chachua

Rotiyaan Pakadiyaan jo garmi je lagdi,
Bhandeyaan manjadi jo sardi je lagdi
Ek Chota deya..Nikka deya naukar rakh wo…
hai made banku deya chachua

Appe te turi chale naukri te chaakari..
meki te deyi gaye khurpa te dhatari
Sara din kaame kane thaki jaanda lakk wo..
made banku deya chachua.

Aau ta galaniyaa sach bo,
made baanku deya chachua
