Narayana Teertha (1675 - 1745)
Sri Narayana Teertha, ascetic and scholar, was born in 
Andhra Desa. Prior to his ascetic vow (Sanyasam), 
his name was Tallavajjhala Govinda Sastry.

Attaining mastery over all the six Sastras, he went to 
Varanasi, the seat of sages and learned men, to propagate 
his spiritual knowledge and philosophy. After some years 
he settled down at Varahur on the banks of the Kaveri in 
Tamil Nadu. On the way down to south, he visited several 
holy places and sang the glory of the deities graced in 
different temples .

Lavanya Sundararaman is a Carnatic musician. She received initial 
training from Poornapragya Rao, and went on to receive further training from 
her family of musicians.
Lavanya was born to Gayathri and Dr. R. Sundararaman. She is the 
great-granddaughter of the prominent Carnatic music vocalist, 
D. K. Pattammal.[1] She is also the great-granddaughter of 
Palghat Mani Iyer, who was a mridangam maestro.
Lavanya received music lessons during her childhood from her 
great-grandmother D. K. Pattammal. She is a disciple of her 
grandmother and noted singer Lalitha Sivakumar, her mother 
Gayathri Sundararaman, and is a niece and disciple of renowned 
singer Nithyasree Mahadevan.
Lavanya has completed her post-graduate and undergraduate studies 
in Music at Queen Mary's College, Chennai and is pursuing her Ph.D. 
in Music under the guidance of Dr. M. A. Bhageerathi.

jaya jaya durge jitavairi varge
viyada niladi vichitra sarge ||

sundaratara charanaravinde
sukha paripalita loka vrinde |
nanda sunandadi yogi vandye
narayana sodari paranande ||

sarasa mani nupura sangata pade
samadhigatakhila sangavede |
nara kinnara vara sura bahu gite
nandanute nikhilananda bharite ||

kanaka patavrita ghanatarajaghane
kalyanadayini kamaniya vadane |
inakoti sankasha divyabharane
ishta janabhishta dananipune ||

anudayalaya sachchidananda latike
alola manimaya tatanka dhanike |
nara nari rupadi karya sadhike
narayana tirtha bhavita phalake ||

Jaya Jaya durge jita vyri vargE viyada nilAdi vichitra sarge ||Oh Mother Durga, the vanquisher of all enemies, victory to you. You create this wonderful universe, the air, the sky and every thing.

nanda sunandAdi yOgi vandye
nArAyana sOdari parAnande ||
Beautiful are your lotusfeet. You rule the vast humanity bestowing happiness. Nanda, Sunanda and other yogis bow to you. You are the sister of Sriman Narayana and you are blissfull.

samadhigatA khila sAngavEde
nara kinnara vara sura bahu geetE
nanda nutE nikhilA nanda bharite ||
Diamond studded dancing bells on your feet echo with melodious notes of samaveda. The celestial musicians, devatas and men sing your praise. Sage Nanda worships you. You are filled with supreme bliss.
C 3kanaka patAvruta ghana tara jaghanE
kaLyaNa dAyini kamaneeya vadanE
InakoTi sankAsa divyA bharaNE
IshTa janA bheeshTa dAna nipuNE ||
Your beautiful body is covered with golden dress. You bestow prosperity and your face is charming. Your divine ornaments radiate like million Suns. You skilfully bestow your favourite devotees their heart's desires.

AlOla maNi maya tATanka dhanikE
nAnA roopAdi kArya sAdhanikE
nArAyaNa teertha bhAvita phalakE ||
You are the embodiment of satchidanandam (existence conciousness, bliss) You are richly adorned with gem studded ear hangings . You are omnipotent, omnifarious (nanaroopa). You remain forever in the thoughts of Narayana Teertha.
