जगदेव कुटुम्बकम् वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् ।

येषामतिशर्मदा सर्वान् प्रति सर्वदा गर्वाद्यतिदूरगा भान्ती हृदये दया । तेषाममलात्मनां याता वसुधाम्बतां पितृतां गतमम्बरं जगदेव कुटुम्बकम् ॥ १ ॥

जात्यादिषु डम्बरं हित्वा विश्वम्भरम् पश्यन् समवीक्षणः सञ्चर सुविचक्षण । चिन्तय हृदि शङ्करं सन्ततमभयङ्करम् गतभेदविडम्बकं वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् ॥ २ ॥

जहतामसमानतां जगतां वहतां मुदां हृदये सकलात्मताम् स्मरतां चरतां सताम् । सततं शुभकारिणां भयशोकनिवारिणां सकलेष्वनुकम्पया जगदेति कुटुम्बताम् ॥ ३ ॥

संस्कृत अन्वय :

येषाम् हृदये सर्वान् प्रति सर्वदा अतिशर्मदा गर्वाद्यतिदूरगा दया भान्ती ये च वसुधाम्बतां याताः
(वसुधैव अम्बा यस्य सः वसुधाम्बः।‌ तस्य भावः वसुधाम्बता )।तेषाम् अमलात्मनाम् अम्बरं
पितृतां गतम् जगदेव कुटुम्बकम् (अभवत्)।।

येषाम् हृदये सर्वान् प्रति सर्वदा अतिशर्मदा गर्वाद्यतिदूरगा दया भान्ती ये च वसुधाम्बतां याताः
(वसुधैव अम्बा यस्य सः वसुधाम्बः।‌ तस्य भावः वसुधाम्बता )।तेषाम् अमलात्मनाम् अम्बरं
पितृतां गतम् जगदेव कुटुम्बकम् (अभवत्)।।

हे सुविचक्षण जात्यादिषु डम्बरं हित्वा विश्वम्भरम् हृदि पश्यन् समवीक्षणः (सन् भुवि) सञ्चर ।
सन्ततमभयङ्करम् गतभेदविडम्बकं शङ्करं हृदि चिन्तय (तेन) वसुधा एव गतभेदविडम्बकं
कुटुम्बकम् (भवति)।

असमानतां जहताम् जगतां मुदां वहतां हृदये सकलात्मताम् स्मरतां सततं शुभकारिणां
भयशोकनिवारिणां चरतां सताम् सकलेष्वनुकम्पया ( सकलेष्वनुकम्पया युतानां अथवा
ईदृशानां या सकलेष्वपि भासमाना अनुकम्पा वर्तते तया अनुकम्पया) जगत् कुटुम्बताम् एति।।

this work of poetry and Sri Smaran Haridashwa, an

ardent seeker and a Shishya of Anna.

जगदेव कुटुम्बकम् वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् । jagadēva kuṭumbakam vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam

The World itself is one family ! The entire Earth is one family ! येषामतिशर्मदा सर्वान् प्रति सर्वदा गर्वाद्यतिदूरगा भान्ती हृदये दया । तेषाममलात्मनां याता वसुधाम्बतां पितृतां गतमम्बरं जगदेव कुटुम्बकम् ॥ 1 ॥ yēṣāmatiśarmadā sarvān prati sarvadā garvādyatidūragā bhāntī hṛdayē dayā । tēṣāmamalātmanāṃ yātā vasudhāmbatāṃ pitṛtāṃ gatamambaraṃ jagadēva kuṭumbakam ॥

Those whose hearts incessantly exude compassion that confers

happiness towards everyone at all times and is afar from pride

and the like; for such immaculate souls, Earth unfurls as the

mother and the Sky unfolds as the father. This World becomes

one family, thus !

जात्यादिषु डम्बरं हित्वा विश्वम्भरम् पश्यन् समवीक्षणः सञ्चर सुविचक्षण । चिन्तय हृदि शङ्करं सन्ततमभयङ्करम् गतभेदविडम्बकं वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् ॥ 2 ॥ jātyādiṣu ḍambaraṃ hitvā viśvambharam paśyan samavīkṣaṇaḥ sañcara suvicakṣaṇa । cintaya hṛdi śaṅkaraṃ santatamabhayaṅkaram gatabhēdaviḍambakaṃ vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam

O capable one! Having discarded the entanglement or pride in castes

and the likes, beholding the all-sustaining Lord Vishnu in your heart,

travel ahead with equal-mindedness. Meditate in your heart, upon Lord

Shiva, the bestower of eternal fearlessness, the One who has renounced

all sorts of differences and contempt. Thus, the entire Earth becomes

one family (free of contempt and conflicts) !

जहतामसमानतां जगतां वहतां मुदां हृदये सकलात्मताम् स्मरतां चरतां सताम् । सततं शुभकारिणां भयशोकनिवारिणां सकलेष्वनुकम्पया जगदेति कुटुम्बताम् ॥ 3 ॥ jahatāmasamānatāṃ jagatāṃ vahatāṃ mudāṃ hṛdayē sakalātmatām smaratāṃ caratāṃ satām । satataṃ śubhakāriṇāṃ bhayaśōkanivāriṇāṃ sakalēṣvanukampayā jagadēti kuṭumbatām ॥

Those who relinquish inequalities and only spread cheer to the world,

those who consider all living beings as ‘Atman’ in their hearts; (Those

who) Incessantly extend auspiciousness and resolve the fear and misery

of others, and trot the globe like virtuous people, they extend their

compassion to everyone by which the entire World becomes their family!
