गोपाल गोकुल वल्लभी प्रिय गोप गोसुत वल्लभं
चरणारविन्दं अहं भजे भजनीय सुरमुनि दुर्लभं
घन श्याम काम अनेक छवि लोकाभिराम मनोहरं
किञ्जल्क वसन किशोर मूरति भूरिगुण करुणाकरं
सिर केकी पच्छ विलोल कुण्डल अरुण वनरुह लोचनं
गुञ्जावतंस विचित्र सब अङ्ग दातु भवभय मोचनं
कच कुटिल सुन्दर तिलक भ्रू राका मयङ्क समाननं
अपहरण तुलसी दास त्रास बिहार बृन्दा काननं
gōpāla gōkula vallavī priya gōpa gōsuta vallabham charaṇāraviṁdamahaṁ bhajē bhajanīya sura muni durlabham ||1|| I worship the lotus feet of that Gopala who is the favorite of the
Gokulam and the Gopikas and is the leader of the cowherds and
whose feet are difficult to attain even for the gods and muni-s. ghanaśyāma kāma anēka chavilōkābhirāma manōharaṁ| kiñjalka basana, kishōra mūrati bhūri guna karuṇākaraṁ||2|| I worship the lotus feet of Ghanashyama who is many times more
handsome that Kamadeva, who steals everyone's heart, who wears
silken clothes, who appears as a teen, who has many good qualities,
and who is compassionate to devotees.
sira kēki pakṣa bilōla kuṇḍala, aruṇa banaruha lōchanaṁ| guñjāvataṁsa vicitra saba aṁga, dātr̥ bhava bhaya mōcanaṁ||3|| On His head are peacock feathers, and His ear ornaments are
swinging beautifully, and His eyes are as attractive as forest flowers.
His hair is adorned by a garland of gunja seeds, and His every limb is
wonderfully pretty, and He is a giver of liberation from all the fears of
earthly life. kacha kuṭila, sundara tilaka bhrū, raka mayank samānanaṁ| apaharaṇa tulasīdāsa trāsa vihāra vr̥ndā-kānanaṁ||4|| His hair is curly and lush, and He wears a colorful Tilakam, and
His brows are winsome, and His face is as magnetic as Kamadeva's.
He removes Tulasidasa's (the author of the bhajan) suffering. and
He loves to wander and play in the forest of Vrindaavanam.
