Maadu Meikkum Kanne Song (Tamil Devotional Song) : Maadu Meikkum Kanne Nee Poga Vendam Sonnen is a popular Tamil devotional song composed by Oothukkadu Venkata Kavi – A renowned 18th century classical Carnatic music composer.

This song is composed in the format of a conversation between Lord Krishna and his mother Yashoda where Yashodha asking Krishna not to go outside to play. In Reply little Krishna convinces her mom and ask her not to stop him. An interesting argument between a son and concerned mother makes this song enjoyable. Maadu Meikkum Kanne Song was performed by various artists including Aruna Sairam and others.

Oothukkadu Venkata Kavi is also known as Oottukkaadu Venkata Subbaiah and Oothukkaadu Venkatasubba Iyer. He had composed hundreds of composition in various languages like Tamil, Sanskrit, and Marathi. Only 500 compositions are available now. He is considered as one of the greatest composers on Lord Krishna.
