Kumari Faiyaz was a playback singer in the 
Hindi film industry during the 1970s and 80s.
She has worked with music directors including 
Vasant Desai, Madan Mohan and Jaidev and sung 
lines by songwriters like Kaifi Azmi, Rahi Masoom 
Raza, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Salahuddin Parvez, 
Gulzar and Yogesh Gaud. Some of her songs are 
“Pehle Chori Phir Seena Zori” (“Bawarchi”, 1972), 
“Do Nainan Ke Pankh Laga Kar” (“Shaque”, 1977), 
“Aayi Ritu Saawan Ki” (“Aalap”, 1977) and “Aasman 
Par Ek Sitara” (“Jumbish”, 1986). Other singers 
Kumari Faiyaz has sung with include Bhupinder Singh, 
Madhurani, K.J. Yesudas and Sushma Shrestha.
