Madhuparna Vaidya

A singer composer who has the talent to create lasting melodies which can cut across different musical genre while combining her classical musical experience with new age and contemporary sounds. Madhuparna has honed her musical skills with many years of dedicated training and live performances in India and abroad. A Hindustani Classical trained performer who excels in Semi Classical and Ghazal genre, Madhuparna has been performing from the age of 6 yrs. She has been trained in Ghazal by Ustad Mohan Khan who is a disciple of Ghazal Maestro Ustad Mehendi Hassan Khan. She has done several semi classical and ghazal shows in India and the UK including some on TV. Belonging to the Kirana Gharana, Madhuparna was featured by Pancham Nishad as a rising star of Hindustani Classical Music through ‘Aarohi 2009’ on 1st May 2009, at Y.B. Chavan Auditorium, Mumbai. Her performance here was highly appreciated by the organisers and the audience alike.
