The classical performance art form Odissi has
always been known for its graceful movements
and expressions. It exudes elegance and poise.
Add to that the percussive and fluid movements
of alluring belly dance and voila! That's recipe for an
incredible contemporary dance fusion performance.
Odissi is largely based on hand gestures, torso
movements and foot work. Raqs Sharqi aka belly
dancing is all about waist and hip movements.
Moreover, Odissi is a temple dance style and
belly dancing is a social dance form.
They are diverse, but they blend effortlessly
when it comes to technique.
This 28-year-old has been dancing since the last 19 years
and was trained by Guru Hare Krishna Behera and later,
Ipsita Behoora. She is currently under the tutelage of
Sharon Lowen. She is a Delhi University alumni with a
Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Born and brought up in New Delhi, Nitisha is a known name
in New Delhi's performing arts circle and has performed in
stage shows across the world.

It was Shankar Mahadevan who spotted the artiste
when he was performing soulful numbers for
Ila Arun's daughter's wedding, and made him an
offer to sing Baawre in Luck by Chance.
However, it was when the singer appeared in a
Coke Studio episode helmed by Amit Trivedi in
2012 that he shot into the spotlight. Having also
lent his voice to songs in No One Killed Jessica,
I Am and Mirziya, Khan finds it essential to hold
onto his roots in the Manganiyar tradition.

Amit Trivedi is an Indian film score composer, music director,
singer and lyricist. After working as a theatre and jingle
composer and composing for non-film albums, he debuted
as a film composer in the 2008 Hindi film Aamir, and was
noticed for his critically acclaimed work in the Hindi film
Dev.D (2009), which earned him several Awards, including
the 2010 National Film Awards for Best Music Direction.

Shailender Singh Sodhi, commonly known as Shellee,
is an Indian Poet, film lyricist and writer. He commonly
works in Bollywood. He was born (1970) in Chandigarh,
India.
