মন   মোর   মেঘের   সঙ্গী
मन मोर मेघेर सङ्गी...

(Today) My Mind has become the companion
of the Clouds of the Sky

राग : मल्हार 

ताल : कहरवा 

মন মোর মেঘের সঙ্গী,
উড়ে চলে দিগ্দিগন্তের পানে
নিঃসীম শূণ্যে শ্রাবণবর্ষণসঙ্গীতে/
রিমিঝিম রিমিঝিম রিমিঝিম ॥১॥

मन मोर मेघेर सङ्गी,

उड़े चले दिग्दिगन्तेर पाने

निःसीम शून्ये  श्राबणबर्षणसङ्गीते

रिमिझिम रिमिझिम रिमिझिम ॥१॥

Meaning:
1.1: (Today) My Mind has become the companion of the Clouds of the Sky, ...
1.2: ... and is flying towards the Horizons in all Directions, ...
1.3: ... towards the Vast Space, along with the Music of the Rains of Sravana 

(a month of the rainy season), ...
1.4: ... Rimi Jhim, Rimi Jhim, Rimi Jhim (sound of rain drops).

মন মোর হংসবলাকার পাখায় যায় উড়ে
ক্বচিত্‍ ক্বচিত্‍ চকিত তড়িত_আলোকে ।
ঝঞ্ঝণমঞ্জীর বাজায় ঝঞ্ঝা রুদ্র আনন্দে ॥২॥

मन मोर हंसबलाकार पाखाय जाय उड़े

क्वचित् क्वचित् चकित तड़ित_आलोके ।

झञ्झन मञ्जीर बाजाय झञ्झा रुद्र आनन्दे ॥२॥

Meaning:
2.1: My Mind is flying on the Wings of the Swans in the vast Sky, ...
2.2: ... which (i.e. the Sky) is getting startled by intermittent Lightning,
2.3: The Rainstorm is playing the cymbals of clattering Thunder with the 

Joy of the power of Rudra (symbol of destructive power), ...

কলো_কলো কলমন্দ্রে নির্ঝরিণী
ডাক দেয় প্রলয়_আহ্বানে ॥৩॥

कलो_कलो कलमन्द्रे निर्झरिणी

डाक देय प्रलय_आह्बाने ॥३॥

Meaning:
3.1: The River is rapidly flowing with great Kalo-Kalo sound ...
3.2: ... and attuning itself with this call of destruction all around.

বায়ু বহে পূর্বসমুদ্র হতে
উচ্ছল ছলো ছলো তটিনীতরঙ্গে ॥৪॥

बायु बहे पूर्बसमुद्र हते

उच्छल छलो छलो तटिनीतरङ्गे ॥४॥

Meaning:
4.1: The Wind is blowing with great speed from the Sea in the East, ...
4.2: ... and swelling the River creating restless Waves over it,

মন মোর ধায় তারি মত্ত প্রবাহে
তাল_তমাল_অরণ্যে
ক্ষুব্ধ শাখার আন্দোলনে ॥৫॥

मन मोर धाय तारि मत्त प्रबाहे

ताल_तमाल_अरण्ये

क्षुब्ध शाखार आन्दोलने ॥५॥

Meaning:
5.1: My mind is running like the frenzied flow of the River, ...
5.2: ... and also swinging like the Tala and Tamala trees in the forest, ...
5.3: ... whose branches are swinging in an agitated manner in this fury 

of Nature.
