LYRICS :
"Ek harf e tamanna hun badi der se chup hun
Kab tak mere maula
Aye dil ke makeen dekh ye dil toot na jaaye
Kaasa mere haathon se kahin choot na jaaye
Main aas ka banda hun badi der se chup hun
Kab tak mere maula…"
TRANSLATION :
I am a mere letter of desire; I have been quiet for so long
But until when should this go on, my Lord?
O dweller of the heart, please see to it that my poor heart doesn’t break
Please see to it that the begging bowl in my hands does not slip away
I am just a hopeful servant, who has been quiet for so long
But until when should I go on like this, my Lord?
